Offering both fun and profit, the Key Club car- wash increased the club's service record. Deadlines were inet by the Curryer and Phantom. Not to be forgotten are the in- dustrial arts vvinners who continually keep Curry's name before the nation. W7 Our high school life is four years of par- ticipation in class activities amid the laugh- ter and cheers at athletic or social events. Classes bring new friendships and aware- ness of our special talents. We develop ini- tiative and skill as we work on club projectsg we learn co-operation and teamwork on the athletic field, and we gain a sense of both individual purpose and school spirit. The senior class of 1961 Presents the Phantom as a tribute earned And well deserved by Mr. Shipton, A man both Wise in guidance of youth's minds And of the universe's secrets learned. Encouragement, assistance, dedication, He glady gave to all who were in need. Remembering a patient explanation Or a personal inquiry, we find He was our friend in thought, in deed. A man who has such worthy traits is one Who's earned acclaim, and so to Mr. Shipton We offer this merited commemoration With gratitude and in appreciation. MR. CLARENCE O. THE SE IOR CLASS MARY LEE BALL NANCY ANN BERRY CAROLYN JOYCE BROWN I8 June, 1961 . . . for us, the senior class, it marks the termination of our high school careers. We have waited for this magic date with impatience, but when we begin to count the days before its approach, we remember with nostalgia . . . our freshman year . . . being welcomed to Curry by the Big Sisters . . . our first introduction to algebra . . . a consciousness of ourselves as freshmen . . .
