It was a special night to remember. The casualities were two 40 pound oinkers, and three professional hula dancers. And special thanks goes to the back bathroom ledge for supporting all eleven house members, as they danced to the crowd ' s content. Pig Roast Ro The Galloping Gator gets happy feet. ' Ingram loses control. The Main House Happy Hour proved to be a huge success. Peo- ple danced their buns off. Thank you for giving 156 House a break from their regular happy hours. It was a rest well de- served. M I N H O U S E P A R Y CURRY Curry goes to the slopes once again. Ski Patrol buzzed to the rescue. aM| INTERNATIONAL NIGHT The International Students and a host of others had a night of merriment and shared several different cultures and ways with each other through song and dance. The whole school was invited to participate in a learning experience concerned with other nations which are a part of Curry. left- Harry S. The Theatre Production Class showed people at Curry that the world of theatre is alive and well as they sparkled in the spring productions of Black Comedy and The Dumb Waiter . Above- The talents of Craig Barry and Cheryl Deutsch, with the acting abilities of Todd Cosgrove and Jeff MacNutt, made the Dumb Waiter come alive. Black Comedy was the highlight of the evening as eleven hard working students caught the audi- ence in their grasp and supplied all with gut split- ling laughter. The cast was comprised of such tal- ents as Robert Massotti, Paul McDonnell, Linda Morrison, Cynthia Ventre, Patty Savage, Richard Slaff, Francis Kwiatkowski, and Thomas Elliott. The credit for backstage work and assembling of these future stars goes to Bill Robertson, Cindy Hi- lyard, and for the directing to Michael Barrera. Although they finished at 3-6 the spirit that was shown by each player, was evident by their play on the grid iron. Under the direct leadership of Phil Nickerson and Dave Moore the team worked all for one and one for all. Through out the past season we all have learned more about ourselves, our peers, and our pride for Curry College. c c E R SLAP HIM IN THE HEAD ED! The 1981 mens soccer team finished their season with a very respectable 8-6 record. The team showed considerable improvement over the previous years record of 4-9-1. Dedicated coaching was provided by head coach Jim Kaufman and new assistant Tony Martone. Some fine leadership was displayed on the field by the tri-captain, senior halfback Bruce Weckworth, senior goalie Mike Stafford, and Junior fullback Mark Sullivan. The squad began with a strong start as they posted an early 7-2 record, with impressive victories over Boston State, Framingham State, and Mass. Maritime. The remaining five games featured some powerful opponents including UMASS-Boston and Gordon College. The Colonel hooters managed to win only one of those five games. The success of the team can be attributed to the experience of a few upperclassmen and to a solid core of freshman. These freshmen provided the needed scoring addition to the team. The outlook for next years team appears to be excellent. In closing, a special thanks to all who devoted their time to the team. The hard work has paid off. They lost fifty percent of last year ' s record breaking team to graduation, and the beginning of the season showed the unfamiliarity of the players. They lost the first four games, a turnaround coming vs. Harvard in a downpour. The potential of this reborn soccer team finally came through, as they stormed over the Crimson 3-1. After beating Bates up in Maine 2-0, they didn ' t lose another game, and their final record was 8-6. The top scorer and M.V.P. was Dawn Perry. The basketball program is on the move, and I am truly happy to have been a part of it. Good luck next year. Jimmy Ice Fortes. Smitty was a special person, he was born with a heart of love and malice towards none. A friend is someone who stands up for us even when everyone else disagrees with us.
