Homecoming Queen and her court. Parade, Floats, and a pre-game luncheon were but a few events to entertain students and greet alumni Friday, the start of Home- coming, 1969. Saturday afternoon students and alumni both filled Curry ' s new bleacher stands and were thrilled by the performance of a vic- torious Curry team against Nichols College. Valerie Carr, Class of 1970, reigned as Homecoming Queen over the weekend events. The post-game hours of reunion and the vic- tory celebrations set the spirit for Saturday evening entertain- ment. The entertainment was held at the Blue Hills Country Club. An unusually large crowd of students, faculty, and alumni alike showed up for Curry ' s best homecoming dance ever. They danced gayly to the sounds of Daddy Warbux, a fine, exuberant group. The feature group of the evening was Little Anthony and the Imperials. The crowd at the beginning sat calmly listening to their concert. By the time they sang the feature song from the production of Hair the crowd arose and really grooved to the electric excitement produced by Little Anthony. They gave a crowd raising, peace showing concert with songs like Going Out Of My Head, Tears On My Pillow, and It Hurts So Bad. Their final song of Exodus was a very appropriate finishing to the even- ing which exemplified the peace loving feeling of brotherhood which the world is striving for. November 2nd., 1969 at the Blue Hills Country Club will be a night that many will remember as a first in the many improve- ments to come to Curry, during its age of progress. 20 Miss Joyce Margolis last year ' s Homecoming Queen.
