dei The Curlew girls got through the basketball season undefeated this year. They started out right by trouncing Kettle Falls with a score of 43-28. With hopes high they then traveled to Inchelium. It was anoth- er victory with a resulting score of 41-18. The following game was with Northport. This was the first time the Curlew girls really had to play ball. The score was tied 20-20 with four minutes left to play. Then Curlew with a good offense and de- fense made four baskets in succession while Northport was held to one free throw, making the final score 28-21. The closest game of the season was against Grand Forks at Grand- Forks. It was a very hard game for the Curlew girls because Grand Forks plays boy's rules. Curlew was ahead at the half but by the third quarter Grand Forks had pulled ahead. However Curlew managed to drag out a victory by the scant margin of one point. The final score was 27-26. Kettle Falls was the next team to be defeated by Curlew. January 19th the Curlew girls traveled to Aettle Falls to win that game 37-28 The last and probably the hardest played game of the season was with Northport February 16th. However Curlew came out on top with a score of 26-24. The average score per game was 33.2. High point girl for the year was LaDonna Egner with 155. co-ca4aZifwv
