Girls Service Societies All-American Girls 'Kun iff' .audi 'NHPF The proud members of the All American Girls strive to bring happiness, cheer and comfort to those in need. The club offers its services to various organiza- tions and projects in our community as well as in our school. ln the past year the ambitious members of the A, A. G. have adopted a convalescent hospital in the area, whose patients they visit peri- odically. They have also worked with the Ming Quong Orphanage. On the campus the club has sponsored the St. Valentine's dance and helped in other projects. The wish of the All-American Girl is that the club will grow in spirit and continue to render service to school and community. All-American Girls, Karen Mori, Kathie Wood, Joanne Deleonardis, and Betty Mulieri plan the St. Valentine's dance.

Missing: Joyce Yoo, Carl Vidstrand, Randy Carlson. Co-operation and efficiency are the key words used to describe this year's Nugget staff. Every sixth period the buzz of hard working staff members was heard as they endeavored to turn outa yearbook to be proud of. The staff met along with Nancy Nations, Editor, and Mr. Pence, Adviser, to plan, lay-out, write, edit, and arrange the basics necessary to turn out an excellent yearbook. Ads were sold. Pictures were taken. Copy was written. The pages were edited. Deadlines were met. And the final copy was produced. Nugget Editor: Nancy Nations Advisor: Mr. Pence

Altruettes The Altruettes were formed to honor girls who have excelled both in scholas- tics and activities. The purpose of the organization is to provide efficient, prompt service to the many organiza- tions who are in need of their aid. Mrs. Stark, Dean of Girls, is the honor socie- ty's advisor. All the service activities cannot be men- tioned, but some ot the most outstand- ing have been a book collection forthe American soldiers in Viet Nam, collec- tion forthe March of Dimes, decorating tor many ofthe school dances, working with the Ming Quong Orphanage, ldlewood Hospital, and the City ot Hope. The Altruettes also sold utuzziesu in order to give a S100 scholarship to a deserving Senior glrl' Altruettes, Barbara Crist, Toni Lovaglia, Cynthia Penland, and Sue Cifranic show some ot the books the club has collected tor soldiers in Viet Nam.
