-'ll lx x . I I u H j TORNADO QM 'WW by Spencer Levine X ' MJ 1 The quiet plains of Arkansas, rarely are they disrupted, Its motionless trees and deathlike silence, The plains exhibit a solemn mutenessg never disturbed ' by the clamor of the city, The occupants of the small towns, oblivious to the upcoming tragedy, Only fate could alter the inevitable, only hope. On the horizon an evil darkness loomed over the plains, The winds slowly gained speed, Until the vacuum-like winds unleashed its boundless - my gusts of fury, The winds drowned out the cries of people running for shelter, Nowhere to rung trapped by a massive wheel of punishing currents, This was a Tornado, we could only hope. The raging tornado pulled up homes and trees, It was a merciless master over all of us, We had no choice but to yield to the tornado 's deadly whip, ' Our fright was endlessg our future was dim, We could only hope. We could only hope and hope we did, The lde of our adversary seemed like eternity, Yet in reality his life span lasted minutes, And as quickly as the tornado came, it left, But not without the deep scars remaining, The tornado 's suction leveled the land, leaving nothing, dx- . I But we picked up the pieces, and we survived, M1 A x, 6 Our hopes had come true, 4: fm' ff For Now.,v AZ! 'Q A ' - f, ' '-!-h n '16 r ,, il iff? X , f x X , x . X . I . . in Hors 32
