Clara Barton, our lady in white, Helping on the battlefields, seeing the light Giving the wounded her loving care, Something only a woman could share. Then comes courageous Joan of Arc, Burned at the stake in the gloom of dark. Showing her strength at that time, A remarkable woman her death was a crime. Our queen of France, Miss Marie Antoinette, This fine person we will never forget. 'Zet them eat cake, she cried with a blessing, To the men of this world let this be a lesson. Madame Curie, our inventor of cures, Healing the sick and helping the poor. In the laboratory she surpasses a man, Doing the job the way only a woman can. Helen Keller, deaf, mute, and blind, More wonderous a woman you cannot find. Couldn't speak the words she tried to say, For her efforts she's remembered to this day. Eleanor Roosevelt, the wife of our Frank, She's the one he' s got to thank. With her help in his career, He learned to live in hope, not in fear. Susan B. Anthony for women's rights, She never gave up through all of her fights. Vote for women was her success, In Women's Lib she'll always be best.
