M. Hobbs, was crowned Basketball Queen at the Cunningham High School Tuesday evening, February 12, 1952. Martha Helen, dressed in a white for rial, carrying a arm bouquet of red carnations, was escorted to the throne and crowned by Captain Bob Davis. Her attendants and their escorts: Frankie Jo Presson, Bobby Joe Caughlin; Velna Vineyard, Donald Davis; Mary Jane Partin, Dean Puckett; Wanda Puckett, Bob Leath. The class attendants and escorts were: Rexene Lucy, Neville Bonner; Barbara Scott, Lawrence Shackleford; Reba Partin, Wayne Deweese; Sue Carter, Calvin Moyers; Lynda Hayden, Rex Puckett; Judy Pease, Benny Partin; Thena Cullen, Dwight Petrie. The entire ball squad and the cheerleaders participated in the cere-nony which was climaxed with the singing of the school song. Accompanist for the program was Geraldine Rudd.
