It is a matter ofminutes before my boat leaves. I kiss my wife and son, Dscer, good-bye an hurry to my boat. The air, being very belly, I so ,out to sit on deck for a little rest. A young man, age five,cxmss over to talk to me. Soon our conversation is interrupted as a man calls, 'Jeffery, come herein As I look at the father I see him staring at me. Suddenly he says, WYou're not.' 'That's right, and you're Bill Conklin. What in the lmld brings you here, Bill?' Well, I'm an artist and I ,just came here to sell a ample of pictures to pay my alimony debts. What brings you here?W After a friendly talk I learn that Irma Mayer and Marie White are starring on Broadway, and that Bob Thomas is an owner of a sweetshop in Harlem. Bill further astound mswhan he said, 'Do you remember Norman Karns, the boy who got married in his senior year? Well, he's doing fine. I1e's working for Edsel Ford, designing those new combination au- planes and autos. He's going to meet me in New York with his wife and four children, you'1l have to see h1m.W B, 'All right, Bill, you can consider that a date.' .if He arises and goes into his cabin for a few magazines. As we were reading, I remarked, 'Gee, but it's good , y,,,, to see an American Magazine when you're living in some other country. 7' I Suddenly Bill Jumps up and shows me a Pogglar Mechanics, 'What'a so difterent about that one?n I inqu red, Wwell, look at the cover.' Sure enough, it's Paul Benson's picture sitting at the wheel of a racer. We then turn to page one-hundred twenty- five, where we read his story of Iirestone T1res,!sf f the Race Tracke' It is getting very late and Jeffery is getting tired, so we decide to 'turn inn for the evening. The next morning we are awakened and informed that our boat had landed an hour ago, no we hurry into our clothes and go to meet Henman and his family. After a very enjoyable visit, we take a plane . Margie Benson, Lena Busack, Ruth Shank, and Dorothy Crosby had all taken nurses' training. Each has good jobs as district nurses, ex- cepting Dorothy, who has found her lifes work in aviation.as an air stewardess for American Airlines. She's acting under Pilot Charles Andrews who has gained a great record flying. Fred Dennis, has been working for the Greyhound Company. Nor- man said that it was through Fred that he got his mtes cheep- er. Kenneth Winslow has staked his life in professional baseball, and Haldane Bucher is a veterinary and he lives right across the street from Kathleen Thurman, who married a preacher. Dale Lewis has married and moved t0 Florida Where he and Robert Pershing own a fruit ranch. Glen Aumend married Marvel Bucher and has the cutest set of twins you ever saw. He is living on a huge dairy farm in Missouri, he owns a new Cord, and also has a chaffeur. Norman further adds, Wihat do you fellows think Th.elma Hirsch is doing?n We both reply, nGosh, I don't know.n Hs nearly floors us when he answers, NShe has a daily broadcast over station 'G A B' in Whitehouse. He said that she gives talks on how to play bridge, Right after her talk, Irving McGilvery comes on the air with the news of the world. Norman says, Wfhitehouse has grown and is nearly run by those of our class. Dale Ammon is a judge there. Irvin Dzierzawski is a lawyer and Marcella Brenamen and Ruth Brown both work for him as his stenographers. vMThe population of Whitehouse exceeds that of Toledo andti 1953 there were there were 110 students graduating from one of its schools. Vivian Butler, Bcthane Gcthke, Roberta Free- worth, and Ethel Mme Yawberg all teach elementary school and Betty and Thelma are still sticking close to ether. Betty gg writes Thelma's radio speeches for her during the day time dl forgets to give her students any assignments. Bill Boyer has a son and he is going to a school taught by Maude Ford.
