A young man, age five,cxmss over to talk to me. Soon our conversation is interrupted as a man calls, 'Jeffery, come herein As I look at the father I see him staring at me. Suddenly he says, WYou're not.' 'That's right, and you're Bill Conklin. What in the lmld brings you here, Bill?' Well, I'm an artist and I ,just came here to sell a ample of pictures to pay my alimony debts. What brings you here?W After a friendly talk I learn that Irma Mayer and Marie White are starring on Broadway, and that Bob Thomas is an owner of a sweetshop in Harlem. Bill further astound mswhan he said, 'Do you remember Norman Karns, the boy who got married in his senior year? Well, he's doing fine. I1e's working for Edsel Ford, designing those new combination au- planes and autos. He's going to meet me in New York with his wife and four children, you'1l have to see h1m.W B, 'All right, Bill, you can consider that a date.' .if He arises and goes into his cabin for a few magazines. As we were reading, I remarked, 'Gee, but it's good , y,,,, to see an American Magazine when you're living in some other country. 7' I Suddenly Bill Jumps up and shows me a Pogglar Mechanics, 'What'a so difterent about that one?n I inqu red, Wwell, look at the cover.' Sure enough, it's Paul Benson's picture sitting at the wheel of a racer. We then turn to page one-hundred twenty- five, where we read his story of Iirestone T1res,!sf f the Race Tracke' It is getting very late and Jeffery is getting tired, so we decide to 'turn inn for the evening. The next morning we are awakened and informed that our boat had landed an hour ago, no we hurry into our clothes and go to meet Henman and his family. After a very enjoyable visit, we take a plane .
