Archie Lee Martin, world's famous foreign cor- respondent, is to be married in June, to his high school sweetheart, Miss Geraldine Smith. Yesterday, while glancing over the San Francis- co Times, I saw the following on the gossip section, page seven. NMrs. Jennie Belle Partain is in Reno, Nevedan. Well, I won't finish the story--you should be able to guess the rest. . Guess who I saw as I slipped through the door of a large U.S.0. Center in Los Angeles, California? No other than Miss Geneva Pierce, who was acting as a special hostess on this very special night. After traveling many weary miles I decided to stay home one night and spend a peaceful, quiet, and restful evening by my radio--but it turned out to be just the opposite. Guess what? L. A. Plunkett, who has recently taken the place of the late Bob Burns, was on a special broadcast to service men in Hawaii, and all radio stations in the States were carrying his special broadcast. l The former Miss Wanda Rose Romack still lives in the Good Old South. She is doing her best to make a living by taking washings and doing odd jobs that she can pick up. She wanted to be a stenogra- pher, but she just couldn't seem to succeed in that field. The tall and dark Wayne Smith is now known as WFred Astaire IIN. He can be seen in his new pic- playing opposite Rita Hayworth in WDrunk on Dancingn Renal-Qele Elia E119 snat- Hugh Strickland is now settled down in his little home in the wildwood with his little family of five. I recently stopped in horth Africa for a few hours on special business. Who do you suppose I saw? None other than Margie Vickers who is now a foreign missionary.
