Freshman year-The Latin classes went to Philadelphia the Blind Ones promoted class sportsmanship and H.R. Inc. took care of social activities. The March Wind- Mr. Deck and his parachutes. Oh yes Jerry Duffie began his presidential career. Sophomore year-Speedy won the Best Actor Award. Our play? The Man in the Bowler Hat. Our dance that year was in honor of Dracula and for the second year in succession we won the Intramural Trophy. Junior year-the Wizard of Oz took most of it. Some of us had our try at College Boards. Junior Class Assembly-Dr. Staley explained things to us. The Prom was the best C.V. ever had. Remember the picnic at Fuller Lake? Seniors at last-The Loud Red Patrick was a great show-thank you Mr. Enck for the terrific set and for your patience. Inspirational Family Living Course and ACES field trips. Again the Seniors battled for a 3-day trip. Commencement and Baccalaureate brought the end of our high school career. There are so many good things to remember. 6 ROBERT GEORGE BANIS Bo Industrial Arts I had one of those but the wheels fell o Band l 2 Industrial Arts Club 4 Baseball 2 Ambition Air Force LEE RUSSELL BARNHART Barney Industrial Arts Sorta Kinda Industrial Arts Club 2 3 4 Photography Club 3 Intramuralsl 2 3 4 Ambition Navy later construction work KENNETH A ALEXANDER en General Tall and quiet A mce fellow Industrial Arts Club 4 Intramurals l 2 3 4 Ambition Bachelor RONALD E BALLEW Ron lndustrial Arts Seems quiet until you get to know im Industrial Arts Club 2 3 4 Ambition Machinist or a cabinet maker EDWARD BARRICK Industrial Arts Has little to say but pleasant Ambition: Air Force. Football season finds them on the practice field six hours a week preparing for their half-time routines. However all this rehearsal time is well spent after we watch them present such outstanding productions as the Beatnik Show, the Khrush- chev Show, and the TV Show. Halloween finds them marching the streets of various nearby towns to the ac- companiment of ghosts and goblins. At Christmas, marching takes on a more serious aspect as they prepare for the annual competitive Harrisburg Band Parade. During the winter months we find them on the stage under the title of Concert Band. Here emphasis is placed on the more serious side of music. Concerts are presented to the elementary schools and a Spring Festival of Music is given an- nually. A TV show usually rounds out this program. In Spring they again take to the out-of-doors in preparation for the Middletown Marching Band Competition. A versatile group, they work hard, practice faithfully, but enioy the overall fun and harmony of being together. A 5-5 RECORD The unpredictable Eagles finished the 1959 campaign all even in the scorebooks, winning five and losing five. The opening game gave the fans a preview of action to come as Jim Davis blocked a punt to give C.V. an unbelievable 2-0 victory over Hummelstown. Of the five losses, three were decided in the final quarter and a fourth was by a single point. However, the Eagles were ready for the two big games and triumphed over neighboring Mechanicsburg, 13-6, and upset a highly-favored Palmyra club by a score of 22-13 in the season's finale.
