Charles McKee, otherwise known as Dean McKee, is the Dean of Students and Registrar. He received a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and a M.Ed, from Auburn University. He has been at Cumberland three years. Students can always see Dean McKee every other Wednesday introducing speakers in Enrichment Forum. He is also known for his famous assertions that it is never too early for students to begin studying for final exams. THE DEANS 10

VICE PRESIDENT PHILLIPS Ray Phillips, the Vice-President for Academic Affairs, has been at Cumberland since September of 1983. He has a B.S. from MTSU, a M.A. from Vanderbilt University (Peabody College), and an ED. D. from Auburn University. One thing you always notice about Dr. Phillips is that he is alvi ays smiling. His wife is also part of Cumberland ' s crew as a teacher.

Charles Gregory — Dean Gregory is the Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid. He has a B.S. from Austin Peay State University. He has been at Cumberland fourteen years and he was also a student here at Cumberland. Jack Howard is the Dean Emeritus and also teaches mathematics. Almost everyone calls him Dean Howard and many think his first name is Dean. He held the position of Academic Dean for seventeen years and now holds the honorary title of Dean Emeritus. He has a B.S. from Maryville College and a M.A. from Vanderbilt University (Peabody College). Dean Howard also went to Cumberland as a student.
