From Cumberland classrooms have come a long parade of teachers, congressmen, college presidents, missionaries, doctors, lawyers, and businessmen who became a part of this tradition for high performance through their commit- ment to permanent values. Your days in historic Memorial Hall, on the campus, and in the classrooms have brought cherished friendships, exciting and enriching experiences, and the joyous quest for truth, beauty, and goodness.
