On every land and sea they have kindled a light which through all man ' s passion, shame and sin has shone softly and beautifully and with invincible hope, the everlasting light. Cumberland ' s ministerial students are preparing for life and correlating their plans with God ' s purpose for the ages. Most of them are pastors in the mid-state area. All of them preach regularly. They have seen a vision of the reign of God in the hearts of men. THE MINISTERIAL ASSOCIATION 23

Through lives dedi- cated to fidelity in prayer and consecration in service to the cause of Christ, these purposes should be attained. Personal preparation for en- larged opportunities and thorough knowledge of religious conditions of the world undergird these purposes to promote and advance the King- dom of God. These high ideals and goals have not changed as this organization has developed on our campus. VOLUNTEER BAND 25
