Jjn zmoxtam Am ' i Waddell Hooker, one of Cum- berland ' s sincerest friends, died Thurs- day, February- 1, 1934. His business and public service connections were numerous and in each of these he left a host of friends. Mr. Hooker was an en- thusiastic supporter of education and was for years identified closely with the work of Cumberland University. During the greater part of that time, he was a member of the Board of Trus- tees and for a number of years was the treasurer. The faculty and student body join in recognition of the loyalty, simplicity, and sincere service of this splendid alumnus.
