This year, however, the Dukes lost the Homecoming game and in 1979 it was the only District game that the team won. Wish Upon a Star “Success is counted sweetest”’ is a quote that some may think irrelevant for this year’s season. Yet the season had its positive points. According to past records, the JV team had a normal year. Many of the players con- ceived a love for the game and are going to play again next year. One Mark Asal lost his right leg to cancer when he was nine years old. In spite of this, he’s very active in sports as well as other activities. player, Mark Asal, was even select- ed as the subject of TV’s P.M. Mag- azine, thereby beginning his acting career. A new coach was provided for the JV team this year — Mr. Ace Kenny. Coach Kenny, who also teaches building trades, spent many hours on the field getting the team into shape.
