favorite classmates, Earl Billy Blanton. The next ycoar we assumed our dutics with even egrcater determination than cver before, realizing that day by day we were drawing closer to our goal. Ones again we appeared on the stage in costumes when we presented our Junior play, The Ranch on Sunset, Trial, The Junior Class also sponsored a beauty con- test and gavc a carnival. Having worked hard throughout this year and being determined to show the Seniors a good time in the Junior-Senior picnic, we carried them to Washington for a two day visit. When we returned, for the first time we reale ized that our Junior ycar was one of the past. During this year we had the misfortune of losing two of our classmatcs, Hester Stewart and Joe Stanloy; a tca- cher, Mr. Rowlett and our beloved and most csteened principal, Mr. Stanicy. Still achieving and pursuing, wo entered our last round well prepared to take up Senior dutics after a long vacation. We knew that in this last room, the goal toward which we had strived for four years became a reality. We assembled with our goal graduation in sight and full of joy over bcing Sen- iors. The moment our eyes fell on our new teacher, Mr. Williams and principal, Mr. McDanald, we knew they were the ones fitted for us. In our last lap. sixteen wore enrolled, one being a new fellow whom we learned to bc Edgar Hayes. This year we gave a play Agri at Vassar , and sponsored a beauty pagcont. ith the money, we purchased a mimcograph machine with which we pro- duced our annual. Every Senior spent a day of our excitement and fun on May 20th, when we were enter- tained by the Juniors. We also had a May Day with Louise Putney queen and all the Senior girls in her Court. Class honors were besitcwed on Margaret Lovins, first; Ethol Vogel, second; Dorothy Allen, Third; Hilda Berger, fourths; Anne Garnett, fifth; and Louise Putney, sixth. Although we have had trials and mistakes and have felt like dropping by the way- side, we have reached our goal —- graduation, after- wards to go out into the world with high aims and achievements of the futurc. Dorothy Allen
