Known to thousands of former cadets of the Major , the Colonel , and the General , his leadership effort as an educator and soldier brought to him, as to Culver, wide recognition. No longer will cadets trudge up to the top of Main to Science class, to the History and Math building, or to many other classrooms for the new and modern Eppley Hall of Science and the Eppley Hall of Human- ities and Memorial Hall, to comprise Gignilliat Quad- rangle, will be the site of academic activity, In the philanthropic inception, and the develop- ment and construction of Gignilliat lVlemorial Quad- rangle we have real evidence of the stuff out of which Culver memories are made.
