I Once again A Company has maintained its high standards of previous years. The molding of A has been the responsibility of their counselor, Colonel Moore, and Brown, J. A. Between these two and the other capable officers, they have produced a com- pany that was feared in all competition. In varsity football, Brown, Wolf, Laube, Halpert, and Olim garnered letters. They fielded top-notch football and soccer teams which captured their share of triumphs. Golt made the varsity basketball team: Ty- son renewed his quest for records on the swimming team. Brown, Wolfe, Laube, McElroy, and Philpot made a fine showing in company basketball. King, Verkler, and Womack churned the waves for the varsity crew. Wright pounded the cinders for the track team. Academics also brought forth outstanding men. Hodgman, Olim, Bock, and Pease all did excellent work in their respective classes. Other men in A Com- pany, although they were not so conspic- uous, were the real core of the company's high showing. Without them A might not have met the standards set in previous years.
