foreword Even though we are still in the midst of war, we are looking forward to the time when we will once more have world unity. However, we know that wishes alone will not win the war; so we have united to help where we can. Every day helps bring the day of victory, with its numerous problems, a little nearer. We have been studying these problems in our classes so that we will be better able to take our part in the new postwar world. We hope that it will be a more ideal place in which to live. We know the students of C.H.S. have tried to do their part to make it so. In this, our 1945 Colonnade, we have en- deavored to show you how in time of war, we, as a school, are striving for unity . . . Unity in the classroom, in our activities, and in the community.
