Last Will aud “Jestameunt THE LAST WILL AND TESTAMENT OF THE SENIOR CLASS OF 1956 We, the Senior Class of 1956, being of sound mind and body, realizing our present position, being also aware of our mistakes during the more or less brief stay here, and endeavoring to leave the best of our belongings where they will be most beneficial do hereby make our Last Will and Testament. ARTICLE I, SECTION I To Dr. Ainsley and the members of the faculty, we wish to leave our most sincere thanks for their patience in dealing with us and the helpful instruction that they have so willingly given us. ARTICLE f, SECTION I To the Juniors, we give our sincere thanks for a wonderful time at the Junior-Senior Banquet, ARTICLE II, SECTION I We bequeath to the Freshmen of'56-'57 our faithful sponsors, Mrs. Killian and Mrs. Conrad, You'll find it easy to get along with them, if you hand in your daily assignments and remember to take out your chewing gum or hide it securely under your tongue before entering their classes, ARTICLE IV I, Genevieve Adams, will my ability to be an old maid to Christine Robinson. I, Kenneth Adams, will my ability to get caught smoking in the restroom to Warren Hooper, who needs it, I, Wayne Adams, will my dislike of all these silly girls in Cullowhee High to Wash Hooper. I, Charles Ashe, will my Charles Atlas book to Bill Donaldson. I, Bobbie Bryson, will my ability to sit behind the bus driver on Number 12 to Christine Stevenson, who wants it anyhow, -I, Charles Bishop, will my ability to stay single to Norwood Phillips. I, Genevieve Cline, will my seat in Senior Science to anyone who is dumb enough to take the course. I, Monroe Coggins, will my strong arm to Lee Adams if he will promise not to use it on the teachers, I, Charles Crawford, do will all my unfinished homework to anybody who has more than twenty-four hours in his day and is willing to burn the midnight oil. I, Johnnie Crawford, will my fortune to marry and be as happy as jimmie and I are to Linda Giggling” Hughes, I, Everlena Coward, will my ability to bum cigarettes to Margaret Hawks. I, Dale Edwards, will my ability to argue with teachers to Quincy Stewart, who will need it next year. I, Phoeba Ann Franklin, leave my love for Mrs, Flum to Joyce Wood, I, Larry Freeman, will nothing to nobody because I'm going to take it all with me. I, Wade Fox, will my tenor voice to Taylor Holden. I, Braxton Galloway, leave my ability to make some girl a “big” armful to Ronald Haskett, I, Eucella Hamilton, will to Mary Ruth Monteith my curly hair so she won't have to worry about rains making hers straight. I, Barbara J, Hooper, will my specks to Jean Bridges. I, Euadean Hooper, leave my ability to work Physics problems to Alvin Hooper. I, Ina Hooper, will my comb to Quincy Stewart, who needs it to comb her long red hair, I, Ora Sue Kilby, leave Mr. Flake to Jean Wood, I, Darrell Millsaps, will to Jimmy Bryson, Buddy Clark, and Vounell Wilson my ability to get out of work and stay out of trouble. I, Shirley Mills, will my Office Practice book back to Mrs, Buchanan who so gladly gave it to me the first of the year, I, Morris Monteith, will my ability to handle a jeep to James. I, Sue Mosses, will my ability to catch a husband to Christine Robinson, ONLY DON'T LET HIM GO OFF TO WAR! I, Jimmy Nicholson, leave my ability to hold Nancy Adams to anyone who thinks they can hold her as long as I did. I, Jimmy Norton, will my superior ability tn managing the boys’ basketball team to Kitt Hooper. I, Clyde Phillips, leave my ability to pass Senior English to George Stephens. I, Ruthine Reed, will to Mary Ann all fourteen of my jingling bracelets and hope she can slip in the house at night without waking everyone as I do. I, Barbara Jean Shelton, (gladly) leave part of my weight to Sissy in exchange for some of her height. I, Lois Slagle, will my ability to chew gum in Mrs, Conrad's room to Ronald Pressley. I, Jack Smith, will my bus driving ability to Tommy Norton. I, Martha Mae Smith, leave my ability to get an Air Force Man to Sissy Norton. I, Wayne Stephens, leave my quiet ways to Wayne Hooper, I, Annie Jo Taylor, leave my ability to daydream in English and still pass the course to Mamie Sue Wilkes, I, Bruce Tolbert, leave no one my love for Norma. I, Robie Jo Wilson, leave my last name to anyone who likes to sit in the last desk in the room, ARTICLE V We, the Senior Class, leave to all the loudmouthed Juniors the honor of sitting on the front seat in chapel so they can hear Dr. Ainsley’s announcements more clearly, ARTICLE VI Seeing that our life as Superior Seniors is fast drawing to its close, we promise to haunt you from this year forth as the alumni of 1956, Class Lawyers Eucella Hamilton Monroe Coggins
