ROCK STAR Students Band Together “Who is playing at the dance this Friday? I heard that the Unknown or Whatever they’re called is.” “Yep. I think all three of the bands will be playing. I sure hope they do better than they did last time though!” The newly formed club for musicians, ROCKSTAR, gave a new definition to the word “dance” in its first year at Cudahy Senior High School. Advised by Mr. ROCK STAR 23 Venne, the club featured live rock-and-roll at the usual weekend dances. The initial three bands, The Unknown, Tom Field, and The King’s Highwaymen, each had their own style of music keeping them unique. The club plans to grow in the future as new bands crop up and interest in ROCKSTAR becomes greater. 1. T-N-T, and explosive act. 2. Mike While strummin on his Kramer. 3. The Unknown 4. Kings Highway Men.

AFS American Field Service DRAMA Artists At Work A.F.S. The A.F.S. Club struggled on this year despite it’s dwindling number of members. It’s leaders were President Carolyn Kovan, Vice President Gorri Saluja and Secretary Treasurer Roxanne Polacek. We were involved in a number of activities this past year. We had our annual Magic Bow sale and Milwaukee weih. We also sponsored a dance and a bake sale. Drama Club This year the Drama Club, under the direction of Mrs. Lindenau, was an enjoyable club for its few but determined members. Drama Club members were invited to sec plays and musicals in theaters around the Milwaukee Area. The club held a bakesale and a fundraiser in the first semester of the school year so members could go to see some famous and not so famous productions. This year the fundraiser consisted of Christmas items which was a big hit. Besides going to plays, the club also performed for citizens at an area nursing home. Comedy skits, singalongs, and choral readings were the main topics which were performed. There was also a time which was set aside to visit with the people at the nursing home. This was the most enjoyable part of the day, not only for us but for them. The Drama Club was mainly run by President Jim Heise and Vice President Scott Owen. Trung Thicu was the club secretary. 22 CLUBS

We Live For A Moment Of Expression This year the Drama Club attended the play “On the Verge” which was performed at the Clavis Theater in downtown Milwaukee. This type of play was different than most others. The stage was in front of us, to the right of us, and to the left of us. The play consisted of a four person cast. “On the Verge” was about three women who traveled back in time to the present. After each performance, the Drama Club always do something. After this perfor- mance they went to a members house, talked, and drank soda. 24 DRAMA CLUB FEATURE
