CHS Speaks Out Forensics Forensics is a club for those who enjoy giving speeches, researching, information, writing poetry or acting. With all the different categories, everyone can find something they enjoy. There is solo-acting, group interp., play-acting, ferrago, prose, four-minute, storytelling, original oratory, public address, special occasion speech, demonstration speech, and poetry reading. The group as a whole goes to various sub-district, district, and state competitions. Sometimes we even get out of school early for them. Finally, at the end there is a Conference Championship Tournament for those that qualify. If you like to compete, meet new people, and have a lot of fun, maybe forensics is for you. Stage Crew They Kept The Lights Lit Amy Rapant Karen Plevak Lance Johnstone Scott Owen Jason Reynolds AY | Audio-Visual Even though stage crew never seems to get the attention they deserve, without a doubt they are very much appreciated by everyone here at CHS. Stage crew works long and hard hours sawing, hammering, and painting for the sets of our annual musical and play which I might add they did an excellent job, as always, building the sets for “Hello Dolly”. They also set up for band bizzare every year. And how many of you knew that without stage crew our ceiling for prom would not be decorated? I personally want to thank Mr. Haske for his brilliant idea for the 1987 prom in which he created an outdoor starlight look. The class of 1988 thanks you for the memories. A V or Audio Visual is a service function for teachers. It involves the distribution of televisions, video cassette recorders, and tape recorder equipment for classroom use. The audio visual aids are Craig Stringfellow and Brian Olen who give up their time to provide service to this function. AV STAGE 19
