of work. Above and beyond the call of duty. Along with a new routine, the band also played 4 selections for their perfor- mance. These selections consisted of an opener, a percussion feature, a full band feature and a closing. All the hard work and efforts put forth by the band members and its many helpers paid off on the day of competi- tion. Cudahy High won the 2nd division award and colorguard took 2nd place out of the 10 bands in our division. This was a great accomplishment for Cudahy considering it was the first time in this competition. 1. Color guard displayed their winning style. 2. The performance was even more difficult as members didn't get to always play with their own instrument sections. 3. Marching backwards was one of the special movements. 5

3 4 Hours and hours and hours The Cudahy Senior High Marching Band practiced for nearly two months for the State Competition on October 19, 1985. The band competed in Wausaw, WI along with 9 other High School Bands in our designated division, for the State High School Marching Band Title. The 90 members of the Cudahy Band had to give up some of their Saturdays for this special event. With the help of Mr. Kerry Dull, band instructor, and choreographers, Scot Meyer, Jeff Hunter, Mark Wrobel, Dino Ric- cio, Paul Wield, Ken Eichom and Jackie Manthei, the members worked hard on a new routine. 1. The juniors were fired up at the bant assembly. 2. One of the many formations presented bj our marching band. 3. Cheryl Riley grew new antennae at the Bant assembly at Memorial Field. (Thanks tt Amy Cheke.) 4. The lines got more straight with ever; practice. 4

Homecoming Becoming Homecoming Queen was quite an experience. Standing outside the fieldhouse at the assembly with the other court members, we all felt a little nervous about walking up in front of the whole school. No one was entirely sure what we had to do, so, we just stood back, let things happen, and smiled. Then they started to call up the court, couple by couple. Tensions started mounting and then only Chris Siodlarz, Curt Link, Amy Kopp and I were left. You could just imagine what we felt like at this time. Amy kissed me and we wished each other the best of luck. As they called up Amy and Curt, Chris and I looked at each other in amazement. All Chris kept saying was, Oh my God” while I couldn't stop saying, I'm going to die.” 1. Best field in the conference ready for another game. 2. Queen Jenni Bugni striking a SEXY pose. 3. Court members Lisa Kubacki and Michelle Nolte take a ride before the game. 4. Amy Kopp and Line Gulbrandsen wave at friends and fans. 5. This isn't the rest of the court! 6. And the band played on . . . 6
