The 1976 Girl's Swimming Season was the most successful one yet in the history of the team. Cudahy competed against teams that have ranked among last year's top ten in the state in the regular season dual and triangular meet. Even with this intense competition, the team compiled a regular season record of 13 wins and only 3 losses. The team had many noteworthy accomplishments this year: 2nd PLACE - Trojan Relays (10 team relay meet) 2nd PLACE - runner-up team in the Suburban Conference Meet, 1st PLACE - State Sectional Champions, 12th PLACE - State Meet. The season saw 8 out of the 11 school records broken. The team averaged 3 new records per meet. Cudahy had 5 Suburban Champions this year, 3 State Sectional Champions this year and qualified a total of 9 girls to the state meet in Madison. It was a very good year. Swimming The IV swim team finished the season with a respectable 10-6 dual meet record, with five of the six losses determined by 5 pts. or less. This year's team has been the strongest that Cudahy has had in 3 seasons and should definitely strengthen the varsity in the next few years.
