T T OTS JSgcL recuton The true purpose of education is to cherish and unfold the seed of eternal life, on that inevitable path of man's undertakings which has already been instilled within us. It is to develop to their fullest extent, the gifts of intelligence, understanding, wisdom and fore- sight which the God who made us has given to that privileged group, the human race. To this end—to the foundations of education, the home and the school—- we dedicate this Arrow.

BERNARD E. MOGUE MESSAGE TO GRADUATES Principal One of the greatest satisfactions a teacher can experience is the pleasure of seeing those students with whom she or he has worked go on into successful adult activity. Each year as our seniors go out from school we wonder what degree of success and satis faction they will meet. Has their high school experience been adequate to meet their future needs, be it work or further education? That question will best be answered as the individual graduates go forth to test them selves against the problems that confront all young folks in these days. One thing I hope is understood, both by our graduates and their parents, and that is that our high school offers some very fine opportunities to prepare for the future. This is true in the fields of in- struction and equipment. The extent to which our students avail themselves of these facilities differs of course. Your teachers and principal do wish that more students would work harder and more conscientiously at their school tasks. Remember that teachers do not fail students, students fail themselves. JOHN E. JONES Superintendent B. E. Hogue, Principal 3. BOARD OF EDUCATION C. Miller, Sr., H. Martindale, J. E. Jones, A. Jahn, H. Brinza, W. Lawler, E. Gomer, R. Cassidy.
