1951 - King Jesse and Queen Marolin 1952 - King Jim and Queen Margie JUNIOR PROM 1952 The evening of May 10 turned the gym into a land of Pink Fantasy '. King Jim Lehrman aud Queen Margie Krikelas, led the dreamy dancers to the soft strains of Richard Kent’s orchestra. Among the top hats, gloves, and cocktail glasses, the royal couple led the grand march in all their regal splendor closing the pages on another unforgettable prom at C. H. S. PROMS JUNIOR PROM 1951 Remember that one special day in May? Yes, our Jr. Prom, May 12, 1951 Think back and the first thing you think of is how nervous you were when it was time to dress; then getting into the car so carefully as not to wrinkle your evening clothes. How you sighed as you entered the gym! Remember how our decorations of white and blue paper and our pillars worked together to produce our theme? Stairway to the Stars. Dreamy wasn’t it. Oh yes, and getting the pictures taken, not knowing where or how to stand? And don’t forget the soph- isticated rhythm of Richard Kent's orchestra. King Jesse Jones and Queen Marolin Koscielniak and court led the grand march. How proud you were as you danced that last dreamy dance. Then the feast came; where did you eat? Oh—I'll never forget -it — it was the most unforgettable place. After that you rode around in your limousine like Kings and Queens watching the sun rise. Later some of us left the others and parted for home or went out for breakfast. Maybe a lot of this is quite dim in your minds, but the hours spent like minutes at our prom will never be forgotten—ever!
