Sportsman Club, Home Work- Shop Senior Class History What were those first words we heard as we wandered through thousands of cor- ridors and millions of doors? Greenies! Freshies! Yes, how can we ever forget that f i rst day we passed through the portals of dear old C. H. S. to begin our four year career of learning? With Chester Skrobis at the helm as class president, we bravely set out upon our journey over the vast sea of knowledge. Our sophomore year began with a bangâskirts were hitting the sidewalks! Sopho- mores were making millions on bubbler passes. At last, the first rugged year, we chant that familiar song, Greenies! Freshies! The post prom, our social highlight of the year, found Rosemary Marsolek and Phil Downing in the royalty spotlight. Then juniorsâupper classmen! The event we all remember best is our prom, Can- dy Lane . We all worked hard and had a grand time. King Red Fowler leading Queen Marion Strehlow down the aisle made a lovely picture. Our junior class play, A Little Honey, was a huge success, with Iris Dronso always misplacing her pet frog. Then at last came the day we had long awaitedâSeptember, 1950, and we were SENIORS! Out of the senior class came a number of celebrities. Among them Chet Skrobis, senior class president, Pat Omelina, Student Council president, Homecoming Queen Em Tonar, and Pigtail Day royalty, Milly Ronnebaum and Don Maloney. Once again Mr. Greco turned his play-directing charms at the lucky (A h e m!) senior class and produced a masterpiece, Lena Rivers. Queen Delores Totka chose Chester Skrobis as her king and they made a lovely couple at the Senior Hop. In answer to everyone's prayer, we won our first undisputed suburban champion- ship and placed seven men on the all-suburban team. All these remembrances mean many good times, but perhaps the best were those closing daysâSenior banquet, Senior day, with click-click of high heels echoing through the corridors, Senior assembly, and at long lastâthose hard won diplomas. Surely not one of us can ever forget the wonderful days spent at Cudahy High. SPORTSMANâS CLUB ROW I: R. Oellt , J. Santi, F- Scianni, R. Pin- ter, R. Reidle, D. Zakovich, G. Bender, W. CLASS PLAYS FOOTBALL The name Giant Killers was once again placed upon the football squad of Cudahy High School. The year 1950 will always live in the history of this school, for we won our first undisputed championship. The team really lived up to Coach Kukor's prophecy, made last year, that we would place first, second, or third in the Suburban Conference- The first game, against Waukesha, was vic- torious for our Packers by a score of 31-7, and though our second game against Shorewoodwas lost by 14 - 13, we still won all the rest of the games to be half a game ahead of Wauwatosa. Our last game was against Tosaâ, which meant Mr. J. Kukor VARSITY FOOTBALL the Suburban Championship for one of us. Amid bitter cold and huge snow flakes, curl team came through to win that game 40-12. The coaches of the championship team were- Coaches Joe Kukor, Nick Milinovich, and Bob| Omelina. To make the football year, 1950, more mem- orable, seven players from our Championship! squad were picked to be on the All Suburban team. They were, Andrew Mijokovic, Ronald I Fowler, John Dietrich, Alex Janikowski, James! Adams, Kenneth Landgraf, and Tom Paul. Our long awaited dream of winning the un-1 disputed Championship for Cudahy High School I came true. ROW I: Hr. Kukor, J. Stremski, E. Whalen, j. Cifaldi, J. Z.olkowsk,, G. Ungl.ub, C. Br.xel, W.
