Sue Alex Nancy Warren jack Brooks Harold Cynthia Max WRITERS Mr Buck Mr Peters Mr Hornbeck Mr. Ratliff Mr. Tanner ..-- wT fl r X ,f .1 f. 'H fgfglhy - '- , L Cubberley's operetta this year, Love All Around, was a musical, writ' ten and arranged by our own teachers. The setting is a high school. One of the main characters, Max, likes Sue. Sue, however, likes Harold. But Harold likes Cynthia, and Cynthia likes Max, who likes Sue, who likes Harold, and so on. A science teacher, jack Brooks, and a young French teacher, Nancy Warren, try to rearrange these circuitous romances. The music on the program was provided by the orchestra and the choir. The score included a few wellfknown melodies with altered lyrics. For instance, the song Everythings Up to Date in Kansas City, from GKLAHOMA, has been changed to one entitled Everytltings Up to Date at Cape Canaveral. Additional songs were 'You Do Something to Me, sung by Sue Cornwall, The Boy Next Door, sung by Pam Williams. Tou've Got to Have Heart, and Brush Up 'Your Shakespeare, were sung by john Wothington and Don Tabor in a duet. Finally, the teachers get everyone paired off. Sue and Max, Harold and Cynthia, and the teachers themselves, Nancy and jack, make three couples out of the eternal circle. Love ll round
