This proved fo be a runaway, as Cubberley won 48-O. The nexf week, fhe feam opened fheir SPAL season by engaging Sequoia. Once again, fhe Cubberley defense proved fough, as fhe final score showed fhe Cougars winning by a I2-0 counf. ln fheir firsf away game, fhe Middlefield Road squad overwhelmed Lincoln of San Jose by a score of 40-6.
