The night was promising and hearts were high as young couples arrived in their eve- ning splendor on the warm night of May 1, 1970. The class will was read by Cathy Klo- buchar as couples feasted on a ham dinner, served by the sophomore class. The action then shifted to a dreamy moonlit night staged in the beautifully de- signed gym. At twelve o'clock, the After-Prom activi- ties began, Couples ate, danced, played cards, and enjoyed themselves until the wee hours. Though the night has long since faded away, it will remain a treasured memory in our lived at C.H.S. l 1 Sophomores were awe-struck at the many lovely ladies. Couples Drifted Along w -'K King Bob and Queen Martha posed for a picture. Guests at the banquet relaxed after the delicious meal

llllllllll n syn V ibfx V iq, Prom Goers were delighted by Queen Debbie and King jim and their royal court. ' Prom I 97 I Brought The evening of May 14 was warm and inviting, the perfect setting for a Love Storyw. The juniors chose several innovations for prom this year. The dinner was served buffet style in the cafeteria. It lent a touch of the islands to the evening. Music was provided by The Pure Scotch , who proved to be one of the best groups ever to perform here. The highlight of the formal dance came as jim Ellis and Debbie Ault were crowned king and queen. They were the perfect choice to end a Love Story , having been hetrothed. After-prom proved to be fun as always, with plenty of food, music, and games. As the first morning light began to appear, couples made their Way home, certain that they would not soon forget this fling. 1 ' ' I vs K, if .f Tr bfi' v ii . A s , - ' iiwipii i . . tt,. Debbie watched as Bob crowned jim king. Prom-goers tried their hands at the variety of buffet foods.
