We had one of the three fastest backfields in the conference. With practically the same back- field returning next year the team could go undefeated. With only five returning lettermen and but three of these full time starters, this young team turned what was originally a building season into a winning season and left a real desire for football in many of the boys. I am proud to say I was the coach of this finest spirit- ed, football team of my young coaching career. Even though the Frosh-Soph squad dldn't win a game this past season, the work they did uncovered a lot of talent and should bring Cuba High fans to new high hopes for the future. This bunch of young- sters will be the backbone and body of a great team within the next two or three years and should pro- vide a lot of thrills and excitement when they have had more experience .
