Senior Class I-listorq Do I hear faint strains of'Pomp and Circumstance' in the distance? Of course! And why not? We will soon be graduated from good old C. H. S., so let me tell what we have contributed while we were here. ln our freshmen year we were off to a good start by winning second prize on our homecoming float, giving a successful Christmas party, and by showing great enthusiasm in all sports in which the Cuba Cardinals participated. Then came our sophomore year and we were always willing to help when needed, We sponsored a success- ful chili supper and a Halloween party. The profits from these helped to pay our prom bills the next year. We also took part in many activities of the school. ln the cheerleader section, we are proud to say all four girls on the A team were sophomores. The sophomore boys helped to take care of the sport division, and many of our class members participated in Chorus, F.H.A., F.F.A., and Band. l - JN-7Q!::a Last year as iuniors, we were kept fairly busy. Our class play, 'Inner WiIly', under the direction of Mrs. Helen Skean, was a great success. An important event was ordering our class rings. We received third prize on our float. May I boast a little and say that I think our prom was one of the prettiest ever held in this school? Now we are the 'worth waiting for' senior class. First came our senior pictures when we looked our best. Our annual staff was kept busy getting the annual ready. 'Mister Co-Ed' our senior class play was a success also. We were still strong in all sport divi- sions and other activities of the schooL Clarabel Churchill was a very charming queen for homecoming and we won 3rd prize on our float. Now, as prom time draws nearer and the music for graduation grows louder, we bid farewell to C. H. S. and say 'Good luck, Under Classmenl' Patty Lescallett ' .fs- ..2l..
