Austin-Sue majored in busi- ness and hopes to attend college in the future. Our class secretary for two years, she is a member of the Yorker Club and Gargoyle Staff. Although she enjoys girls' intramurals and choir, boys and parties are, and probably al- ways will be, Sue's special interests. l Linda M. Ballerstein- Linnie is a business major and her future plans are to attend Erie Community College and become an Occupational Therapist Assistant. Dillon- Wally was a math- science major and intends to go on to Alfred Ag.-Tech. Wally's main interests are cycles, cars, and girls. Wally also participated on our baseball, volleyball and bowling teams. Theron D. Dunlap- Tink majoredin science and agriculture. His activities included FFA, track, 4-H, and he was sentinel of FFA this year. His favorite hobbies are parties, girls, and just driving around. In the future Theron plans to attend college. r if Raymond A. Feuchter-When not hiking a football or dribbling down the court, Raymie can be seen water- skiing, playing pool, or hunting-in South Cuba? After graduation Ray plans to use his math-science major at the campus in Wellsville. Kenneth J. Fowler-Ken attended BOCES where he majored in building construction. Among other things, Ken was active in chef club, volleyball, and Li'l Abner. His favorite hobbies include parties and girls. In the future Ken hopes to travel. Ind A v I . Y., X Richard M. Freer-When not searching for parties on his motorcycle, Lil Richie can often be found hunting or camping. Throughout high school he has been an active member of the track team. Richard has majored in Indus- trial Arts, and plans to become a draftsman. Vincent H. Hadden-Among Vincent's favorite hobbies are hunting and swim- ming. At BOCES, Vince took up Welding, which he hopes will come in- to good use when he enters the Armed Forces after graduation. l ST? Carla M. Gere- Garl's,' special inter- ests include Writing, dancing, rapping and meeting new people. She was a member of both choir and Popular Music Group, FTA, and the Student Council. Using her major in math and science, Carla plans to attend college after graduation. l 1 l l Gilbert E. Green-Gilbert majored in math, science, and agriculture, and plans to attend college next year. While not taking notes for the FFA, in his sophomore and junior year, Gilbert was participating in football, wrestling, and track. all i . ' 'i skate? Kevin E. Hamilton- Kev majored in Agriculture and plans to become a farmer. Kevin was Sentinel of the FFA in his freshman and sophomore years, and treasurer in his junior and senior years. His hobbies included bowling and swimming. Melissa J. Hamilton-Lisa was a viva- cious member of FTA, FNA, Choir, and the Popular Music Group. Our favorite baton twirler enjoys driving VW's and visiting Bolivar. With a major in art and science, Lisa has plans in the field of nursing and marriage. fi., Jxfaj Robin S. Howard- Rob majored in math and science and hopes to attend college next year. A Yorker Club mem- ber, Robin participated in intramural basketball and volleyball. Her in- terests included going to parties and driving around. 'S Sue E. Howes- Susie Cream Cheese loves dancing, swimming, and skiing. Jamesson-Mike majored in math and science and will enter college next year. Our Sophomore class Vice- President and Freshman class Secretary- Treasurer, Mike won his letter in football. He received a National Merit Letter of Commendation and a Regents Scholarship. Lewis L. Kratts- Lewy majored in agriculture and plans to join the Navy. He participated in football, wrestling, and track. An active member of the FFA, Lewy has been its President for two years. When not Working at Moon- winks, he enjoyed motorcycles and parties. Linda A. Lang-With her major in math and science, Linda hopes to be- come a secretary in the future. She was active in Student Council, intramurals, and cheerleading. Our freshman prom attendant, she also edited the Gargoyle. Snow and water skiing are among Linda's favorite pastimes. Donald W. Lockwood-Don majored in Industrial Arts and Auto Body Re- pair at BOCES, and plans to enter the Armed Forces. Outside of school, Don's interests included hunting, fish- ing and parties. David R. Mann-Dave attended BOCES for two years, majoring in auto me- chanics. He was president of his 4-H group for two years and played foot- ball for one year. In the future Dave plans on going into the Navy. Why won't you tell us what your favorite recreation is? Ellen R. Miller-nElmer majored in math and science and plans to attend college. While not collecting money for LHC, Ellen was participating in basketball, volleyball, and soccer intra- murals. Her hobbies included cooking and sewing. As a member of NHS and all in- tramural sports, she plans to major in physical education at Ithaca College. On the other hand, Pam enjoys playing drums, knitting, and eating Necco-Wa- fers in Sth period study hall. Rhonda L. Oakes-Rhonda majored in science and plans on going to Central City Business Institute to become a medical secretary. In her junior year she joined French club and went to Montreal with the group. Her favorite hobbies are water skiing and working at Moonwinks. Q G Y X Susan J. Payne-Susie majored in cos- metology at BOCES. Her future plans include something in the field of cos- metology and marriage. In her years at CCS she belonged to Future Home- makers. For recreation, she does a lit- tle swimming, bowling, and horseback riding. X 'YL C .uf 1 Robert J. Piechota-An Art major and president of FTA, Bob hopes to attend college and become an art teacher. Our assistant yearbook editor fought for our rights as Senior Student Council representative and displayed his talents in choir and track. Bob can often be found waterskiing, at parties, or draw- ing. s Qu X 2 5. Eustacia R. Rambuski- Rosie ma- jored in cosmetology at BOCES and took a few business courses here. In the future, she plans to work as a cosmetologist and go on for advanced styling. Her main hobby is playing the piano. Steven I. Raub-Steve majored in math science, and French and hopes to at- tend Maritime College next year. Our Junior Class President, Steve was also a member of the Student Council in his freshman year. He Won letters in foot- ball, basketball, baseball, and track. 7 Catherine J. Reynolds- Cathy was very active in FFA and Was County President in her Senior year. In the traditional induction ceremony presided over by President Steve Raub, the history of the organization was given by Tim Williams, the expla- nation of the terms leadership, charac- ter, scholarship and service were given by Mike Jamesson, Jean Bowers, Louise Wadsworth, and Margaret Tay- lor. Membership pins were awarded by Dr. Beck, Supervising Principal. Following the program in the auditori um, the members of the society were hosts at a tea for parents, teachers, and former members. The advisor for the local group is Mr. Herman Knowles, School Guidance Director. 1970 Homecoming Queen and her court. October 17 set the date for Cuba's fourth annual Homecoming Weekend for 1970. The street parade, which began the activities, proved to be very successful in spite of the chilly weather. The winning floats were made by the Freshman and Senior classes. The Greyhounds were defeated by Franklinville in a hard fought game 3-0. Franklinville's Tom Wilbur was chosen 'Most Valuable Player' at the conclusion of the game. The Homecoming Queen, Miss Margaret Taylor, was crowned during the half time activities. Topping off the festivities Mar- garet was honored at the annual dance held in the gymnasium with music furnished by The Electric Elves . The dance proved to be the most successful of the year. The 440 relay team, Tom Manko, Tom Setchel, Jim Manko, and Bill Ballerstein, did break the school record. The baseball team in 1970 had an overall record of 8 wins and 3 losses. The league record was 4 Wins-2 losses, and they tied with Bolivar for a second place position.
