Edwards, J. Wilson, K. Miller, D. Abbott, C. Carpenter, J. Lawton, B. Patten, Asst. Coach Linderman. Hit hard by graduation in 1967, we started the year with inexperienced Sophomores and Juniors at several key positions. The boys showed a desire for hard work and had a quality about them that will help to make them a good team in the com- ing years, a never say die attitude. Losing by only one touchdown to a highly favored Portville team in the last game was a good example of this attitude. Although soundly beaten in many of their games, they were beaten in the second half when our lack of depth made the difference. With a more seasoned team back next year the future of the Greyhounds on the gridiron could rise sharply. JUNIOR VARSITY SQUAD VARSITY L. Kratts, managerg Coach Harbeck, K. Miller, C. Carpenter, Jim Wilson, John Wilson D. Havasi, R. Kamery, R. Burt. Basketball The Greyhounds had rough going in the 1967-68 season but always played a hustling brand of ball. The team lost five games by three or less points but never became discouraged. Coach Harbeck reported that he was very pleased with the teamis attitude and found the boys an excellent group to work with. Co-captains Jim Wilson and Ken Miller will be lost through graduation but all others will be returning for an- other season With a full year's experience behind them. JUNIOR VARSITY ourt Shots The wrestling team finished the 1967-68 season with a 4-6-I record. The team showed steady improve- ment throughout the season with the highlight coming when we beat Fillmore to drop them out of second place. Bradley Taylor and Gary Jahnke Won county championships. John Lawton was a top seeded wrestler in the tournament but lost in the finals. Wrestling Track 1967 On this year's track team there were several boys who did outstanding jobs. Kirk Scribner set school records in the broadjump with ajump of 20'8', and the triple jump with a mark of 4l'. The 880 relay team composed of Tom Arzberger, Kirk Scribner, Curtis Hamilton and Dave Cradduck set a new school mark of 1:41.5.
