B and Seventy-six trombones . . . Well, they're not quite that big, but they keep trying. The Pirates Marching Band, under the directorship of Mr. Michael Cothran, now boasts 125 enthusiastic members. Mr. Cothran hopes to have between 130 and 140 members next year and someday a band 500 strong! His plans for next year are to improve general playing and marching ability. At football games, the band's rousing songs have stirred school spirit and made losing easier and winning bigger. The school has been well represented in parades and competitions. ln fact, the band had the honor of marching in Disney World.
