irlas Volleyball If one wanders in during a practice session of the girl's volleyball team. you would probably see twelve girls showing their gracefulness and skill in this nonstop sport. The girls help one another by giving helpful tips that could win a very important game . This year our team chaulked up a very impres- sive score of eight wins and two losses. Coach Beverly Hickey took the girls through the season with the ease of a professional. According to Mrs. Hickey, These girls are very proud of what they are doing. They showed that girls can play sports and do it in a lady-like fashion. They want to win more than anybody we have played this year. 'l'wenty-two members made up the squad with two managers and one scorekeeper. Two girls, Christi Allen and Anita Brooks, seem to stand out by being able to spike their opponents time and time again. When asked, What is the first thing the team does after the game? , the coach said, with a long grin. We stop and eat! So, look out, boys! Varsity Wrestling Once again the wrestling team had an outstand- ing season. With many of their returning veterans and an abundance of talented new recruits. They proved to be formidable - adversaries for their conference foes. Cheif Hudson and Coach Barber's skillful supervision of the boys resulted in pin after pin, victory after victory. Cheif Hudson even bought gear bags for the wrestlers to complete outfits of new sweats.
