Varsity Basketball BACK ROW: Norm Tow, Bill Davies, Jim Freitas, Chuck Sanders. MIDDLE ROW: Gene Thurber, coach Lonny Fitzpatrick, Tom Hoag, Harold Watson, Roger Marvin. FRONT ROW: Steve Strait, Jack Brewer John Kennett, Jerry Turner, Harold Frost. Crystal had an exceptionally fine year finishing with an 18-4 record. Chuck Sanders was high scorer for the M.C.A.A. with 195 points in league play. Jack Brewer was high with 64 free throws. Crystal won three trophies a consolation at the Portland tournament, a district at Greenville, and a regional at Grand Rapids, the farthest Crystal has gone in twenty years.
