v 1 1 I 1 'il QL ? 5 W W FourYears C Tjsfal H gh X355 Passing under the portals ofhigher knowledge 65 intelligent looking Freshmen entered the Crystal Falls high school for the first time though they seemed to be green and timid, they astonished the upper classmen by their ability to catch on to the routines As Freshmen, we started by the election of officers to govern the class for the ensuing year The officers elected were President David Leonard Vice President Rosemarie Pavlen secretary Dorothy anderson Treasurer Paul Larsen Representing th breshmen in the student tounciluere Dorothy Johnson and Victor llblero Our class advisors were Liss O1en,1r Soderberg, and Miss Nelson The Freshmen,not to be outdone kxany o the high school activities, contributed two very able boys to the lirst string of basketbaD.players, namely John 'Juasie' Hermanson and Francis Red' Robichaud These also took part in track Merle rdams, Fritz bender, Victor flbiaro, Lalcolm McNeil, David Leonard and Pad.Lars0n were our representatives on the 'bn Squad Nancy 'Poogien neschllman represented the Irosh class as an able During the year the Freshmen held one dance and one party, which ended a little hectic, but entirely a successful year surviving all the raazlng, pranks and so forth, we passed through our first year better accustomed to high schom.l1fe and activities low we had earned the rirht to take our place as the lowest of the upper classmen Re entering the school as a class of 51 the ilrst decisions nmde were the election of officers President Dorothy AHGuISOh Vice President leddy Jarvis Secretary Shirley west Treasurer John Hermsnson Chosen fox the Student Council were Joyce Robichaud and Lalcoln McNeil Mr nlner Soderberg was chosen chairman or the class advisors with the assistance of Miss Lllen Nelson and Hrs C P 'erley Social events of the year, were two dances, both of which were e success financially and socially A number of the bovs presented a short program in the assembly A skit entitled Nshocklnp Shakespeare , the main item of the program, was enjoyed by the whole assembly Three toys took part in golf for the year ard olive, Lekloy Ilylund, and Richard Roblcheud Paullarsen and Frances Roblchsud represented the class in the thinclad team On the basketball team we had Paul Larsen, John Hermanson, Fritz Bender, David Leonard, Francis Robichaud and Ted Jarvis Passing through the stave of sophisticated sophomores we were now ready to take our position as studlous Juniors Coming back for their third year in high school were t8 anxious and ambitious Juniors The following were picked to keep things in order Pr8B1d6Dt Pgul Lgrggg Vice President Dorothy Johnson secretary Leonora Lachapelle Treasurer Kenneth Menepace Q' I V 1 X OUT GJ U P - 1 . pu, --J I . Miss Nelson, Miss Jacobs and Mr. Soderberg were allotted the Job of class advisors. During the year two dances were held, one being the traditional Thanksgiving raffle. - The most waited for eveng the annual Junior prom, was held on April 26, in honor of the departing seniors. The theme, 'I'm Always Chasing Ra1nbows1 was selected bythe Juniors and the gymnasium was appropriately decorated. Honors and thanks are here granted to Mrs. Bradish for her untlring fine work and time ln directing the decorating of the gym. Bar- tonelll's orchestra furnished the music for the formal promenade atwhlch Paul Larsen and Theresa Eccel reigned as King and Queen. Now as we passed our third mile-stone in good standlng,5l dignified appearing seniors reported forthe final mile stretch,ln hopes of getting the back seats of the High School. But lo and behold it was back to the Forest Park School for us. It wasn't as bad as seemed! AU our first meeting we elected the following officers to preside over the Senior class.
