Tate Mr. Talmadge has been lcnown to the high school students for six years, four of them as principal of the junior High and the remainding two as Chief of C.C.H.S. Mr. Talmadge coached the debate teams last year, and his girls' team took district honors. The smile he wears and witty stories he 'tells are appealing to all the students, and his teaching ability is espe- cially manifested in his senior civics classes. 3 1 -li-J'-W 4 I v. Psa .. f' . !g,-' :M .rf , fr, 'W 1 1 ..,1 .uw ,.... ,hgh Mr. Tate, our superintendent, is a well- known pe rson ality around Crystal City High School among the students and also among graduates since 1930. ln the past he served as coach and teacher from 1930 no 1941, principal of the high school from 1941 to 1953, and is now in his second year as superintendent. Though Mr. Tate may present a stern and tm- compromising front to the fish , all the seniors can tell you that these same qualities make him an ever present help in time of need. PRINCIPAL john M.
