'53 FOOTBALL REVIEW By THE .TAVELINS Lept. 18--Crystal City 0-Eagle Pass 0 We worked to the goal line four times but lacked the umph' to go over. Mason Williams Lept. 25--C rystal City 7-Uvalde 13 As far as scores count, Uvalde won, but it was a moral 'ictory for the Hogs who won statistically. Bill Coker Jct. Z--C rystal City Z7-Poteet 7 We never did take any of the opponents lightly since hey always had as many boys out on the field as we had. lejino Ramirez The Javelin backs were ve ry proud of the line because f their beautiful blocking. Lamar Williams ict. 9--Crystal City 14-Cotulla 12 We had to play this game for all it was worth. Lionel ialvan ' In that game I remember the hardest that Igot hit was y Lionel Galvan when he ran over me on a quarterback neak. Darrell Bailey Pct. 16--C rystal City 38-Sabinal 6 This one was like a track meet. Everybody got into me scoring act but the manager. Clyde Greer We scored every way we could--four touchdowns, one .eld goal, one safety, and four extra points. Bill Stende- ach 'ct. Z3--Crystal City 6-Hondo 0 In the biggest rain since the Ark...
