DEDICATION The 1976 Crystalite Yearbook has been dedicated to Mrs. Delores Ann Dixon. Mrs. Dixon and her husband, Paul, reside at 403 Tenth Street, Crystal City. Before working here, Mrs. Dixon was employed in the grade school for several years. Later, she became a secretary at the high school Mrs. Dixon has three main interests—Jenny, Sara, and Jamey-her grandchildren. We are all appreciative of the hard work and interest Mrs. Dixon has shown in our school and in the students. EDITOR’S MESSAGE Dear Friends: The past four years at Crystal City High School have been only a small part of my life. Now that I’ve graduated and have received my diploma, I’m no longer and never will again be a high school student. When I was a freshman I never imagined that the years would go by so fast. All that I’ve been through .. . friends, school functions, sports activi- ties, and daily class hours, have all been worth it. I know I’m going to miss the school and all my friends, but the feel- ing of a diploma in your hand is a great feeling. I wouldn’t trade that now for anything. As a word of advice, (I always was know for giving ad- vice, and usually when it wasn’t needed) I hope that every one of the underclassmen will begin now to make the best of their remaining years in high school. Sure, have fun, but don’t be afraid of becoming overeducated because there is al- ways room for more. Yearbook Editor ■ 2
