DEDICATION TO PAUL H. BROWNING A familiar face to everyone at CC11S is Mr. Paul H. Browning. Mr. Browning, originally from Mound City, Missouri, has been teaching at Crystal for 26 years. Mr. Browning attended Mound City High School and went on to college at Tarkio, where he received his B.A. degree. He did graduate work at the University ot Missouri at Columbia and at Washington University. Mr. Browning then went on to get his M.A. degree at Colorado State College in Greeley, Colorado. He was very active in sports when he was in college. Mr. Browning was a World Class dashman in track. He also partici- pated in football and basketball. His first teaching job was at Rockport, where he taught for three years. He then taught at Festus for one year. Mr. Brown- ing started teaching at Crystal in 1938. After a few years, he went to work at PPG where he worked as a foreman for 11 years. After that time, he came back to Crystal City High where he is presently teaching. Mr Browning has taken part in school activities as assistant coach of both track and football and also Student Council sponsor. The classes that he teaches, or has taught, include Algebra I and II. Geometry, General Science, Biology, and Functional Math. Mr. Browning resides with his wife, Anna Mae, at 4017 Seventh Street in Crystal City. 2

EDITOR'S MESSAGE Dear Friends: May brings about the end of another school year and the end of twelve long years of work for the class of 75. Yet, this is not the end of the road. The class of 75 will separate . .. each of you will take your own road into the future. College, a job, or marriage are some of the paths you must choose. But, which one shall you take? Remember all the events that took place in the year 1975 and at CCHS, Volleyball and Gymnastics Champs, the Senior Play, Ugly Teacher and Sexy Legs contests, the Prom, and feeling that diploma being placed in your hand. 1 hope this yearbook will help you recall the happenings at CCHS in 1975 when thumbing through it in future years. 1 hope you will always remember how much you gained here at CCHS. I believe the class of’75 chose a motto which should be expressed to every graduating class. Success is not wholly measured by what position you hold now, but by the obstacles you have overcome to attain your position. It makes a person sit down and think of what you have done and have gone through these past 12 years to become a SENIOR! It’s been a great year for the class of’75. Good luck to ’76, ’77, and ’78. 4
