DEDICATION TO PAUL H. BROWNING A familiar face to everyone at CC11S is Mr. Paul H. Browning. Mr. Browning, originally from Mound City, Missouri, has been teaching at Crystal for 26 years. Mr. Browning attended Mound City High School and went on to college at Tarkio, where he received his B.A. degree. He did graduate work at the University ot Missouri at Columbia and at Washington University. Mr. Browning then went on to get his M.A. degree at Colorado State College in Greeley, Colorado. He was very active in sports when he was in college. Mr. Browning was a World Class dashman in track. He also partici- pated in football and basketball. His first teaching job was at Rockport, where he taught for three years. He then taught at Festus for one year. Mr. Brown- ing started teaching at Crystal in 1938. After a few years, he went to work at PPG where he worked as a foreman for 11 years. After that time, he came back to Crystal City High where he is presently teaching. Mr Browning has taken part in school activities as assistant coach of both track and football and also Student Council sponsor. The classes that he teaches, or has taught, include Algebra I and II. Geometry, General Science, Biology, and Functional Math. Mr. Browning resides with his wife, Anna Mae, at 4017 Seventh Street in Crystal City. 2
