ADMINISTRATION Dr. Pope was born in Cardwell, Missouri and when he was six his family moved to Kennett, Missouri where he re- ceived his first and secondary schooling. He received his Bachelors and Masters at Arkansas State University at Jonesboro, Arkansas. He received his Ed.S. Specialist in Education, at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He re- ceived his Ph.D. from the St. Louis University. Dr. Pope is very active in community affairs. He resides in Crystal with his wife, who is an elementary school teacher at Crystal, and his daughter. Kim. Mr. Maze, Crystal City High School’s New Principal was born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri. He attended the Poplar Bluff schools during his elementary and high school years. He obtained his B.M.E. at Arkansas State University, his M. Ed. and Ed. S. Specialist in Education at the University of Mo. at Columbia. He previously taught band and chorus at Fisk and at Chaffee, Mo. Mr. Maze was band director and then principal for four years at Campbell High before com- ing here. He presently resides on Ward Terrace in Crystal City with his wife Judy, his son Jay, and daughter Cami. His community affairs include a member of the Lions Club and a Boy Scout Council Member. 6
