Yet, this is not the end of the road. The class of 75 will separate . .. each of you will take your own road into the future. College, a job, or marriage are some of the paths you must choose. But, which one shall you take? Remember all the events that took place in the year 1975 and at CCHS, Volleyball and Gymnastics Champs, the Senior Play, Ugly Teacher and Sexy Legs contests, the Prom, and feeling that diploma being placed in your hand. 1 hope this yearbook will help you recall the happenings at CCHS in 1975 when thumbing through it in future years. 1 hope you will always remember how much you gained here at CCHS. I believe the class of’75 chose a motto which should be expressed to every graduating class. Success is not wholly measured by what position you hold now, but by the obstacles you have overcome to attain your position. It makes a person sit down and think of what you have done and have gone through these past 12 years to become a SENIOR! It’s been a great year for the class of’75. Good luck to ’76, ’77, and ’78. 4 BOARD OF EDUCATION Pictured above are the members of the 1974-1975 Crystal City School Board of Education. Lead me to your door. The wild and windy night that the rain washed away, has left a pool of tears crying for the day. Why leave me stand- ing here, Let me know the way. Many times I’ve been alone and many times I’ve cried. Any way You’ll never know the many ways I’ve tried But still they lead me back to the long wind- ing road. You left me standing here a long long time ago. Don’t leave me wait- ing here. Lead me to your door. But still they lead me back to the long, winding road, You left me standing here a long long time ago, Don’t keep me waiting here, Lead me to your door. Mr. Herbert and Mrs. Gruber hustle around us, giving directions, answering last minute questions. On some faces, tears mix with sweat and roll down cheeks. Too soon for tears, though. “Is my cap on straight?” “Don’t forget who you follow.” Soon, now. Very soon. 101 GRADUATION Brad Shain, our class president, leads us over for the big moment. Dr. Clinton Pope recognizes Harold Walton for being Valedictorian, and Becky Hawkins for being Salutatorian. Brad’s speech is just fine. Admiral Roy Hoffman, Class of 43, gave a very interesting address—even though we fidgeted just a little. Mr. Louis Church, Board of Education president handed us our diplomas, and it was all over except for the Recessional, family, friends and perhaps a party. 102 AT LAST . . . GRADUATES!
