The students at Crystal City High School are required to take three years of history, which includes citizenship, world history, American history, and contemporary issues. To graduate, a student must pass a test over both the Mis- souri and American Constitution. JOHN THURSTON, B. S. Southeast Mo. State World History Citizenship, which is usually taken during the fresh- man year, gives a student an understanding of the laws and government of the United States and Missouri. World history outlines the social and political world of foreign countries. The American history course, taken during the junior year, is an extensive study of the evolution of the American government and the society in which the government de- veloped.
