Not present is Katharine Brewer, who was also a candidate. 27 The Juniors, our new upper-classmen, have excelled in many differentactivitiesin their third year at C.C.H.S. The many organizations have elected them as their officers. The boys have assisted the teams in football, basketball, baseball, track, and other sports. The Juniors have sponsored the coke room, which has been an aid to both the teachers and the students. Bringing the school year to an end, the Juniors gave the Annual Junior-Senior Prom. The prom was a big success and enjoyed by all. Stuck lockers frighten them; crowded halls delight them. The upper classmen give them an incentive to work hard to reach their goal. Their teachers patiently guide them in order to form their personality, character, and ability along the best channels. STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Council has fulfilled many fine pro- jects this year. They sponsored the first school parade the Crystal High has had for several years. It was a huge success. Other duties they undertook were Planned Progress, revising the student handbook, the suggestion box, and they placed a pencil vending machine in the school hall. Under the leadership of Mr. Pogue, the 1955-56 Student Council has led our high school through a happy and successful year. Some of these were the club initiation for new members, the float in the all school parade, a Christmas party where Spanish customs and traditions were observed, and to close the school year a picnic was held with the senior members as special guests.
