u Zu Twas only six short years ago that most of us started as 7th graders in Crum Ir High School The graduating Class of 57 began their 7th grade in the year of 1951 High School was new to us and very strange To be in a big school like Crum was something for us to talk about However our Sponsors Mrs Grace V Gray and Mr James Aultz tried to make us feel right at home We got off to a good start so next year on to the Sth grade we went That year our sponsor was Mrs Lamoha S Perdue This year passed very soon and now we were ready to enter high school and were all very anxious to getstarted in the ninth grade Our ninth grade sponsors were Mrs Loida L Crum and Mrs Faye Stevens This year we elected class officers President Herbie Dawson Vice President Jimmie Messer Sec Treas Evena Marcum Several new faces appeared in our class this year They were Geneva Porter Sara E Williamson Evena Marcum Amanda Marcum, Ramona Kirk Margarette L Marcum William H Perry Verland Perry and AlphaG Perry We learned something that year' In September 1955 we began as sophomores Our officers this year were President Johnny Scaggs Vice President Alpha Gene Perry Secretary Tennie Harmon Treasurer Jimmie Messer Our sponsors were Mrs Irene W Olmstead and Mr Murphy This year we had Biology which we all dreaded because we didn t like to cut on animals bodies and look at them especially before lunch President Johrny Scaggs Vice President Arve1Marcum Sec Treas Mary Jo Stamper During 1955 1956 we were called Juniors Our sponsors were Mr Cebern Baker andMr IOTH1 MU1' phy That year we had a class play AUNT SAMANTHY RULES THE ROOST which we enjoyed very much We also financed the Junior and Senior banquet at the Mountaineer Hotel in Williamson W Va And then the big year' Our SENIOR year to which we had looked forward for so long Our class officers were President Donald Damron Vice President Alpha G Perry Secretary Leona L Little Treasurer Geneva Porter Still we had other new membersg Ereelan White, Andrew White, Doris Perry, and John Little.
